Activity of a 13 year old BABA member

My name is Eric Shishir Rahman and I am a 13 year old student of Challenger School, Sunnyvale, California. After running approximately 450 miles over the four month period of vigorous training, I went to Burney to run the Burney Classic Marathon (http://www.burneyclassic.active.com/ ) on September 14, 2003 (near Mount Shasta, North California). Yes, I have successfully completed the Marathon (26.2 miles) run. The high temperature (90F), 3600 feet elevation, hard rolling hills, and rocky trails, made my run extremely difficult. At 22 miles, I hurt my upper right leg on the rocky uneven trail. Despite my pain, I continued the run to completion. I did finish long before several other marathon runners.

I was the youngest of all the competitors over the 13 years of Burney Classic Marathon history. I have checked Guinness World Records book (2003), there is no mention of youngest marathon runner.

By running this Marathon, I have successfully raised $2025 for BABA (Bay Area Bangladeshi Association) to pay for the attorney fees needed to make this an official non-profit voluntary organization. On December 28, 2005, IRS granted BABA the NPO Status with Tax ID 20-1807670.
