Background:
We are inviting all of our Bay Area Bangladeshi friends to
attend this BABA Program on Ekushey February, which is one of the most
significant days in Bangladesh, and for all Bangladeshis across the world.
On this day in 1952, something very significant happened in Bangladesh
(then East Pakistan). This special day of
Ekushey February has also been recognized and officially announced by the
United Nations (UNO) on November 17, 1999, as the International Mother
Language Day. This year, for the second time, BABA has planned to
observe this day in a very special way with an actual Shahid Minar. BABA is
inviting all the other Bangladeshi organizations of the Silicon Valley Bay
Area to join us in this special program with flowers.
